The tuition deposit and, if applicable, deposit for the hall of residence, are paid before the start of the course, along with the down payment, and returned after the course has been completed. The down payment is due before the start of the course and is offset against the university fees.
A student´s acceptance to FAU can only be upheld and accommodation reserved if the down payment and deposit are paid on time. The down payment is credited in full to the student’s tuition account and is only a partial payment for fees.
Deposits are held in a separate account and will be returned to a student upon leaving if all accounts are clear.

- The tuition fee for study programs MAISS and MTS are € 2,340 per semester or € 4,680 per year. Upon written request, the study and registration fee can be paid in four installments (€ 680/instalment) during the semester as follows
- Winter semester: 4 installments on the 15th of October, November, December, January
- Summer Semester: 4 installments on the 15th of March, April, May, June
The Friedensau Adventist University gives 25% relatives’ discount on the tuition fees for siblings, children/parents and spouse of the student if both are registered as full-time students

Rooms in Shared housing
On the campus, there is a men’s house with two twin rooms and a women’s house with two twin rooms and one single room. The rental price is subsidized by the Friends of Friedensau; this subsidy is primarily awarded to international students. There is a waiting list for these rooms.

Rent for an apartment
For families, married couples, groups of people who rent an apartment on campus.
The rents for the apartments are between 230.00 and 590.00 per month. The apartments are equipped with a limited access telephone, an Internet connection (LAN) and a TV connection.
In addition to rent, students pay per person per month in average:
- Water – 25-30 EUR
- Heating – 50-70 EUR
- Electricity – 40-50 EUR
- TV, radio – 17 EUR – fixed costs (for everyone household independent of usage or not)
These costs may vary depending on personal use.
The goal of the cafeteria is to enable students, employees and guests to have a balanced diet. On around 360 days a year, the cafeteria provides full board, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A well- stocked salad bar, a variety of vegetarian meals made from high-quality and, as far as possible, fresh food and a comfortable dining room are the characteristics of the cafeteria.
The costs of breakfast, dinner, and salad are based on what is actually consumed. The midday meal costs between € 2.90 and € 5.00. Students receive a 15% discount on this marked price in the cafeteria. With the achievement of a minimum amount of 100.00 € within 28 days, students will get a further discount of 10.00 €. Payment occurs on a cashless account.

The registration fees contain the costs for the semester ticket. Thus, each student can use the public transport in Jerichower Land, to Magdeburg and in the City of Magdeburg. Further details can be seen in the information on the semester ticket.
