Find below the general admission information for graduate applications in Friedensau Adventist University. Applicants are strongly advised to carefully read the information provided on what we expect from you to complete your application process.

 

  • Please submit the fully completed application package (see the checklist) to the admissions office before the stated deadline. Make sure to read through the instructions provided carefully before submitting your application. Please note that only fully completed applications will be considered.
  • The application will be discussed at the academic Admission Committee and at the Financial Committee respectively (within 1 week to 1 month). The decision of acceptance will be made under consideration of the enrolment capacity and a completed financial plan.
  • The admission committees’ decision will be communicated to the applicant by the Admissions Office.
  • Selected applicants will be asked to transfer the down payment and deposit (see below for the fees) to the University within 2-3 weeks after the admission decision is communicated.
  • Upon the receipt of the down payment and deposit, the admissions office prepares and sends to the prospective student, documents for the embassy (may take up to 1 month).
  • The applicant applies for a student visa (please check in advance how much time you need in order to receive an appointment at the respective embassy. The visa application normally takes 6-8 weeks.)
  • Upon the receipt of the visa, the admissions office should be notified.The flight to Berlin can be booked according to the pickup schedule which, will be communicated by the admissions office.
  • The admissions office (based on the number of new students) organizes and picks up the prospective student from the airport (Berlin) to theUniversityy (Friedensau). Normally, we offer 2 appointments for the pickup service (on Friday and on Sunday). Please note: Pick-up is not possible on Saturday.

We are pleased to know that you are considering your graduate studies at Friedensau Adventist University. The following documents are required for your application. All the documents must be fully completed and submitted together with all other required documents to FAU Admissions Office.

2. Proof of Financial Liability

  • Applicants must indicate how they can finance their studies.
  • A Proof of sufficient funds for studies during the stay in Germany can be verified by a bank statement, and or a sponsorship confirmation, etc.

3. Certified Copies of Diplomas, Degree Certificates, and Transcripts

  • Applicants must send the following documents:
    • Certified copy of University Degree
    • certified copy of Official Transcript of academic records issued by a University together with the grading system of the university.
      • An official notary or lawyer can perform the certification,
      • Certificates that are not German or English must be translated (official notary translation) into German or English.
      • The original copies and the translated versions of these documents should be stapled together as a single document respectively.
      • Please do not send any original transcripts or certificates! The documents sent will remain in the possession of the University.

4. Copy of Higher Education Entrance Certificate

  • Applicants must send a xerox copy of their higher education entrance qualification with which they can be admitted to higher education in their home country (for example, secondary school leaving certificate, High School Diploma, Matura, A-Levels, Bachillerato, etc.).

5. Signed Study Contract

  • Applicants are required to download and sign the FAU study contract (Click here to download). Two (2) signed original copies of the study contract must be sent via post together with the certified copies of certificates.

6. Proof of English proficiency

  • An English Language Proficiency Proof (see program-specific requirements page)

7. Curriculum Vitae

  • Applicants are required to send a CV. Please use the CV format we have provided and fill in all the required information paying attention to exact dates. Uncompleted CVs or other CV templates will not be accepted. Click here to download CV template

8. Passport photo

  • Please add one passport-sized photo to your application documents. Photo must not be more than 6 months old.

9. Xerox copy of your passport

  • Please send copies of the cover of your passport and the pages showing your photo, your name, date, and place of birth, passport number etc.

The applications for admission to study are processed by the Admissions Office/International Office. The decision regarding admission is taken under consideration of the university places available, the level of qualification, and the evidence of funding for the program. If all necessary prerequisites are fulfilled, the applicant will receive written notification of admission.
